Creative Economy Summit 2 & Other Updates
We will be partaking in a panel discussion about Valley F.E.A.S.T. and community based art funding. Bean Dinner & Micro Grants of Brattleboro VT will be joining us for this discussion as well as we are looking to get a few other F.E.A.S.T. like event organizers from other New England areas to be present.
This panel talk will happen at the Creative Economy Summit 2 in Shelburne Falls MA. There will be two days of lectures, workshops and panel discussions and all sorts of creative discussion and networking opportunities. The Creative Economy Summit 2 will take place on Friday March 18 and Saturday March 19th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., our discussion will take place from 2:15 to 3:45 on Saturday March 19th. The cost to attend the two day summit is $25, you can also volunteer for 2 hours in exchange for the fee.
Visit the Creative Economy Summit web page, for the full details on these two days and to register. March 8th is the deadline to register.
For our panel discussion we have a loose direction and outline for what we wish to cover but we also wanted to make sure folks get the most bang for their buck by having the opportunity to submit specific questions to us in advance. Putting Valley F.E.A.S.T. together is a lot of work, it is a very dynamic project and there is a lot that can be discussed about this project and clearly different folks will be interested in different aspects of the project. Email us your questions ahead of time to email@example.com. We will also likely be answering audience questions on that day as well, but having a heads up on what people are interested in hearing about will allow us to generate a more focused and meaningful conversation. You can also plug questions in on our comment box bellow.
Also know that you can always email us questions even if you won’t be attending the Creative Economy Summit but are just curious about how we do all this. We’re friendly, and if you have questions for us, especially if you want to bring some of your own awesome into the world, we’ll gladly oblige.
Also take note that the next Valley F.E.A.S.T. is taking place on April 30th and will be at The Elevens in downtown Northampton again. Get your ideas ready for your proposals, this round will probably be more competitive with more artists presenting and we’ll likely only be awarding the top three voted for artists. We’ll also have updates from the artists from the first F.E.A.S.T., more awesome eats, more bands and more total radness.
We’re still in the process of rounding up our photos from the first F.E.A.S.T. and will have up to share soon.
Stay tuned, stay warm, stay funky.
