Thank you all for a wonderful Valley F.E.A.S.T. Episode II!!!
That…was so much fun!
Big shout out to our winners:
The Project Collective taking 1st place
L/A/N/D/ taking 2nd place
Madame Morte and the Hard Candies taking 3rd place
Lots of love to all of our presenters: Deomontown, Art on Wheels, The Kaleidoscope Tree, and with extra love “They did THAT with a spray can?” who were not able to come out due to difficulties getting ejected from their studio space. It just goes to show how import it is to find new ways to keep art going in our communities.
Which we at F.E.A.S.T. couldn’t do without the following folks:
much love to The Crazy Exes From Hell (for their whiskey fueled angst-folk, and for playing not one, but TWO sets) Mr. Jon Sands (who came out and, with a little musical assistance, brought poetry into a bar full of drunk rowdy artists) The Macrotones (who have now been dubbed “the tightest afrobeat band this town has ever seen”) and Chantz Erolin (who closed us out in the wee hours, with some top caliber hip hop resuscitation of the dance floor)
Thanks go, of course, to John Peter Wentworth for a wonderful meal! (Did you try the soup?!) This was some far out BBQ, and 2 out of 2 North Carolinians as “really good BBQ.” Preparing a meal for nearly a hundred hungry artists is no easy task, and this man did it with grace and style that left even the vegans in the audience happy. We greatly appreciate his hard work!
Shout out to Amanda Robinson for assembling our programs & ballots, Evil Bill & The Elevens for being the ONLY venue in this town that would allow us to host this amazing project – they got it right, Matt the door guy for going above and beyond the call of duty to hand out our ballots, & the rest of the lovely staff and bartenders of The Elevens,
thanks to the whole Romansky family for door management, ballot counting, love, support and keeping the free loaders OUT. And of course, thanks to the ENTIRE community that came out to be a part of F.E.A.S.T., Toeveryone who spread the word about F.E.A.S.T. through conversations with friends, emails, and blog posts.
There are more folks who should be on this list and surely I’ve missed some. If you’ve helped us out and we need to get your name up here, or if you have any questions about Valley F.E.A.S.T., you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
